Many Indian wrestlers have signed up with WWE in the recent years, after The Great Khali and Jinder Mahal to increase the pile of Indian WWE wrestlers.

WWE has been extending its focus to widen its fanbase in India. So much so that India has seen two successful WWE live events in the past years. WWE even produced a two-hour PPV special titled WWE Superstar Spectacle 2021 to commemorate India’s Republic Day in a special tribute to the country.

1. Jeet Rama

Born in Sonipat, Jeet Rama has been signed to NXT. He made his WWE debut at a live event in New Delhi on January 15, 2016. He defeated Chad Gable. He was a ten-time Kushti Heavyweight Amateur Wrestling Champion and three-time winner of the Hind Kesari award in India. Originally named Satendar Dagar, he also fought against AJ Styles during the Superstar Spectacle. 

2. Sareena Sandhu

The very dangerous Sareena Sandhu could be the next big Indian female wrestler after Kavita Devi. The Indo-Canadian beauty shared the stage with The Queen Charlotte Flair at the Superstar Spectacle to defeat Natalya and Bayley. Sandhu has worked matches for Women’s Wrestling Revolution, RISE, SHIMMER, and IMPACT Wrestling as well.

3. Giant Zanjeer

A native of Jagraon, Punjab, Zanjeer is a 7-foot-2 former basketball player who set his sights on the squared circle. He is working hard to rise the ranks of WWE after coming through the 2019 WWE tryouts. A trainee of The Great Khali, Zanjeer follows the motto no pain, no gain.

4. Guru Raaj

Guru Raaj also stepped into WWE after they selected him at the 2019 tryouts. He is the first Indian high-flyer in the company who fought one-on-one against Finn Balor in the Superstar Spectacle. Raaj is a former farmer from Banda who uses his athleticism in javelin throwing and taekwondo to run circles around his opponents.

5. Dilsher Shanky

Dilsher Shanky left a job working as an accountant to turn his attention to pro-wrestling after seeking inspiration from The Great Khali. Born in Jagadhri, Haryana, he is an experienced cricketer and actor. WWE selected him in a 5-day audition in March 2017 at Dubai.

He teamed up with Rey Mysterio, Ricochet and Giant Zanjeer to bag a victory during the Superstar Spectacle. He currently makes appearances on Raw.
