As preparations for the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) 2026 season kick off, popular Indian actor Salman Khan has been announced as the owner of the New Delhi Franchise.
Following a successful 2025 campaign, the league is all set to expand with two new teams in season 3.

With news about Bollywood superstar Salman Khan joining the league as a new franchise owner, cricket fans are eagerly awaiting the start of a new season.
Indian Street Premier League 2026
ISPL is back with the 2026 season, marking the league’s third season, following a successful 2025 season. The last edition of the tournament drew in a 28 million reach and saw a 47% growth on TV. As the league continues to scout talent across the country, trials are already underway in 101 cities with over 4.2 million player registrations. Last season, the Amitabh Bachchan-owned Majhi Mumbai claimed the trophy and will head into the new season as defending champions.
While the schedule of season 3 hasn’t been released yet, season 2 took place in January 2025 and season 3 could happen in 2026. While the last date to register for the league isn’t known yet either, registration for the trials is open for interested players on the official site here.
Salman Khan becomes new owner of a ISPL New Delhi franchise
Bollywood icon Salman Khan recently announced that he will be the official owner of the new ISPL New Delhi franchise. Khan’s entry comes as a part of the league’s expansion, making New Delhi the seventh team in the tournament. While speaking about the new venture, Khan excitedly expressed:
