Earlier this year, the inaugural season of ISPL made its grand debut at the Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai.

The tournament is preparing for its second season, scheduled to take place from January 26 to February 9, 2025, at Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane but the full schedule is yet to be revealed. Aspiring cricketers from across the nation can now register for trials in 55 cities.
The trial process will start at the city level, where top performers move on to the zone level and each zone has designated dates for final trials: Central and South Zones from October 26 to 28, East and North Zones from November 2 to 4, and West Zone from November 5 to 9.
The process concludes with Simulation Matches on November 12 and 13, 2024, providing athletes with one last opportunity to demonstrate their skills before the auction and is also inviting organizations and individuals to host registration camps and register at least 1,500 players.
ISPL 2024 teams
The inaugural edition of the competition featured the following six teams:
- Majhi Mumbai
- KVN Bangalore Strikers
- Srinagar Ke Veer
- Chennai Singams
- Falcon Risers Hyderabad
- Tiigers of Kolkata
The teams competed against each other over the course of ten days. The Tiigers of Kolkata emerged as the eventual champions and will be looking to retain their title in ISPL 2025. The unique competition showcased the essence of tennis ball cricket.
ISPL 2024 viewership
Sony Pictures Network are the official broadcast partners of the league and reported an exceptional viewership growth throughout the competition. The network will likely retain their broadcasting rights for the new season as well. During the first season, Sony reported an overall reach of an impressive 11 million including TV and digital platforms. Meanwhile, the live audience in the stadium, had an impressive attendance of nearly 5 lakh fans.

According to the organizers, Season 2 of the Indian Street Premier League will take place between January 26 to February 9, 2025. As of now, they have not announced the schedules and fixtures of the tournament.

The inaugural edition of the tournament featured several new rules like the โTip Topโ toss, the 50/50 challenge, โTape Ball Overโ, and โ9 Street Runsโ. All these new rules introduced innovative elements to the game, which further enhanced the games excitement and its appeal. Aside from these rules, fans can expect to see certain modifications and new rules during Season 2.
