Earlier, reports emerged online suggesting that the second edition of India’s first-ever tennis ball T10 cricket league will feature a total of 350 players from 55 cities in action.

The Indian Street Premier League 2025 will commence on January 26 and will run until February 9 in Mumbai but the full schedule hasn’t been released yet. This year’s edition will feature a total of 6 teams such as:

Bangalore Strikers,

Chennai Singams,

Falcon Risers Hyderabad,

Majhi Mumbai,

Srinagar Ke Veer, and

Tiigers of Kolkata.

These teams are returning from the inaugural season. Ahead of the tournament, the Indian Street Premier League 2025 auction was held on December 11, 2024, where these 6 teams have acquired a total of 350 players from 55 cities.

The auction that was held at the Lotus Ballroom, Jio Convention Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, saw the Majhi Mumbai team acquiring Abhishek Kumar Dalhor, for a sum of Rs. 20.50 Lakh, which made him the most expensive player for the second consecutive season.

ISPL Defending Champions

The inaugural ISPL featured 18 matches played in a round-robin format, with the top 4 teams advancing to the semi-finals. The Tiigers of Kolkata are the defending champions this time, having defeated Majhi Mumbai by 10 wickets in the Indian Street Premier League 2024 final held on March 15.

ISPL 2025 Format

The ISPL 2025 will follow a similar format, with all matches scheduled at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai. The ISPL has attracted significant attention due to its association with cricket legends and Bollywood stars:

This edition will feature celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, who will serve as a Core Committee Member and Ravi Shastri, who is the league’s Chief Mentor.

Furthermore, the tournament will also feature personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Ram Charan, Suriya Sivakumar, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, who are the owners and co-owners of these 6 teams.
