The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that the prize money for all local tournaments will go up, with the Ranji Trophy winners getting the biggest boost, know the new prize money in 2023-2024
Jay Shah, who is the secretary of the BCCI, tweeted about the news on Sunday.
Shah said that local cricket was the most important part of Indian cricket, and he promised to put more money into it. The prize money for the winner of the Ranji Trophy has gone up from 2 crores to 5 crores. The winners of the Senior Women’s ODI Trophy will now get 50 lacs instead of the 6 lacs they used to get.

Shah took to Twitter to share the news, writing, “I’m pleased to announce an increase in prize money for all @BCCI Domestic Tournaments. We will continue our efforts to invest in Domestic Cricket – which is the backbone of Indian Cricket. Ranji winners to get ₹5 crores (from 2 cr), Sr Women winners ₹50 lacs (from 6 lacs).”

Jay Shah also said that the winner of the Irani Cup will get 50 lacs, which is twice as much as before. Also, the winners of the Irani Cup will now get 25 lacs, which is a change for the tournament.
The BCCI announced the schedule for the domestic cricket season for 2023–2024 earlier this month. The Duleep Trophy will start the season on June 28, 2023. The Ranji Trophy will begin on January 5, 2024.
