India, which enjoyed a 4-0 thrashing of Pakistan in their opening game, is currently second in the group behind Kuwait, who have scored more goals. Kuwait trounced Pakistan 4-0 on Saturday, June 24, then drew 1-1 with India in their last group match on Tuesday. The tournament’s final four teams have already been clinched by both sides.
The SAFF Championship semi-final matchup will take place on Saturday as Lebanon won Group B and India came in second. The Intercontinental Cup final between the two teams took place recently in Bhubaneswar, with India winning.
Kuwait, who finished first in Group A, will face Bangladesh, who finished second in Group B, in the other semifinal matchup. On Saturday, they will also clash, but Bengaluru’s battle will take place in the afternoon.
