While the side was always envisioned to try out fresh faces owing to the nature of the encounter, the fact that both the captain and vice-captain skipped the affair left people quizzing over the reason.

A stiff back is behind the reason for captain Virat Kohli skipping the event whilst vice-captain has swollen his left upper hamstring due to which he didnโt get the go ahead for the encounter. Both have received treatment for their predicament and are being monitored by the sideโs medical team.
Rohit Sharma ended up captaining the Indian side in the absence of Virat Kohli meanwhile. India who ended up losing three early wickets managed to steady their ship which looked to be devoid for wind in its sails.
