- Maana Patel, who qualified for Tokyo 2020 as India’s third woman competitor, currently owns the national records in the 50-, 100-, and 200-meter backstroke events.
- Richa Mishra, a swimmer from Delhi, holds up to five Indian swimming records, the most of any swimmer in either the men’s or women’s division.
Talking about the 200 m butterfly, 400 m individual medley, 200 m and 800 m freestyle, Richa, the Delhi swimmer has the best timing of anyone from.the country. The longest-standing national swimming record in India is Richa Mishra’s mark in the 200-meter butterfly. At the Asian Age Group Championships in 2007, the veteran swimmer finished in 2:18.66.
