Pakistan’s Shoaib Akhtar loves being in the limelight with his outlandish comments and he’s managed to do so once again by saying Pakistan will defeat India in the T20 World Cup 2021
The excitement for cricket fans is beyond any words at the moment as the T20 World Cup announcement has mesmerized the cricket fraternity. The ICC announced the super twelve which saw the clubbing of the arch-rivals India vs Pakistan in the league phase of the tournament.
The T20 World Cup, which had already been rescheduled post a year due to the COVID- 19 outbreak, would see 12 teams split into 2 groups.
Former ace-pacer of Pakistan Shoaib Akhtar, an outspoken proponent of Pakistan cricket, reckons that the finale of the T20 World cup is going to be a re-enactment of the maiden edition in 2007. Akhtar, however, claims shockingly that the Pakistan team would blitz India to overcome and reach the top.
Shoaib Akhtar Says that The Conditions In the T20 World Cup 2021 UAE Will Assist India
“I believe Pakistan and India will face each other in the T20 World Cup final, with India losing to Pakistan. “The conditions in the UAE would benefit both India and Pakistan,” Shoaib Akhtar said on the Sports Tak YouTube channel.
It is a significant comment by Shoaib Akhtar, considering Pakistan has never beaten India in a World Cup game. In contrast, the Indian Team has a pristine 11-0 success in World Cup games.
Nevertheless, Akhtar feels that perhaps the losing drought for Pakistan would come to an end at the forthcoming WorldT20 Championship since the atmosphere mostly in UAE appears suitable for Pakistan. Interestingly, India and Pakistan have previously played in a T20 World Cup game final in 2007. The inaugural edition was ice on the cake when the archenemies reached the finals.
In that game, acceleration was on a carnival ride since both sides left no stone untouched. Ultimately, MS Dhoni’s team finally triumphed by five runs and thus took the salvation.

Pakistan lately endured a 2-1 defeat in the T20 Series against England as well as a 3-0 failure in the ODI series.
