Indian Official Kit for 2022 Commonwealth Games unveiled, and prize money of Rs 20 lakh to be awarded to the gold medalists of CWG, 2022
A see-off ceremony was organized by the IOA on Thursday, July 7, under the presence of Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mr Anurag Thakur along with some well-known athletes across the country were also presented.

During the ceremony the official Indian kit for CWG, 2022 was also revealed for the 215-strong squad, sponsored by JSW Sports. Later, during the ceremony, Anurag Thakur said this is the strongest ever Indian squad and was confident that this time athletes would make the nation proud for one more time.
Prize money of Rs 20 Lakhs will be awarded to the gold medalist of CWG, 22
Indian athletes are already away for the Commonwealth Games beginning July 28. During the see-off ceremony, it was announced by Mr Rajeev Mehta Secretary general of the IOA committee that the gold medalist will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 20 Lakhs followed by Rs 10 lakhs for the silver and Rs 7.5 lakhs for the bronze medal winners.
With just one day left for the competition, Indian athletes would be now fully prepared to give their all in Birmingham and make the country proud in CWG, 22.
Team India will be the fan favourite to end the competition with the most medals
Talking about India’s performance in Commonwealth Games, it has been a brilliant run for India. In the previous year’s competition edition which was held on Gold Coast, India won a total of 66 medals with 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze. India finished third in the overall medal tally at Gold Coast. So far India has won around 500 medals in this competition and surely be looking to further extend its tally count.
India CWG, 2022 Schedule, Day 1
Day 1 will witness Indian athletes featuring in badminton, boxing, and hockey but the biggest of all would be India Vs Australia Women’s Cricket opening fixture which will be held at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium.
