The Frenchman was arrested by the Cheshire Police on Thursday on four counts of rape with three complainants, all over the age of 16 levelling those charges on the defender. He’s also had one charge of assault, the police revealed in a statement on the day.
Subsequently, Manchester City have gone onto suspend the French leftback in a statement released by the club yesterday. Given the prompt action taken by City and the staggering four charges levelled at him, its blatantly evident that Mendy is in a real quagmire at the moment.
