Despite being fraught with debt and failing to meet La Liga’s new salary cap, Barcelona have not been deterred in getting new players on board.

The club has been extremely active in scouring for players who are free agents with the side opting for both Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero. In a bid to bolster its attack and give much needed support to Lionel Messi, the side has brought on both the players after their contracts at Lyon and Manchester City came to an end.

Ever since acquiring Depay’s services from Ligue 1, Barcelona have gone onto subsequently slap a hefty 400 million pound release clause on the player’s head. The player’s arrival has titillated the side’s ardent supporters with many claiming him to be a massive success at the club.

The car is Depay’s favourite with him going onto boast about his riches on a raft of occasions by citing the Rolls Royce. He’s also used the car in his rap video where he’s seen indulging in a decadent show of self-praise and riches.

Many users on Twitter even went onto joke that Karim Benzema who is known to possess an akin personality had only a few days to hit back at Depay’s show of riches.

Barcelona meanwhile are said to be working on a way to get Lionel Messi to sign a new contract. Messi who is currently a free agent is reported to be open to the idea of sealing a new 5 year contract at the La Liga club, one which would see him reduce his wages to half of what he previously drew.
