According to reports, Badou Jack will receive confirmed purse of $500,000 following his resounding victory against Ilunga Makabu. Meanwhile, Ilunga Makabu will bag approximately $350,000 purse excluding PPV revenue. Owing to the hype of this match, it served as the co-main event at Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury and although no PPV details are revealed, both fighters might split this amount equally.
Jack has previously held the WBC super-middleweight and WBA regular light heavyweight titles. He intended to become the triple-division champion by moving up to cruiserweight, and his plan worked. The 39-year-old was more fluid on his feet and had better cardio, which helped him stay in the battle until the twelfth round.
