Manchester City will have to now focus on how to manages the midfield after veteran German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan suffered a shoulder injury in the latter stages of their match against Tottenham. City medical staff is currently running tests on him to identify the problem with his left shoulder.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s problems have increased with one more addition to the injury list which consists of English midfielder Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne who made a cameo appearance in the defeat to Tottenham.
Nobody knows the extent of Gundogan’s injury but it will definitely keep him out against newly promoted side Norwich City and maybe against Arsenal, Chelsea, and Leicester City before a trip to Anfield in the month of September.

Ilkay was influential in their run to the Champions League final defeating Real Madrid in a hardly contested 2 legged tie. However, his time with the German outfits was cut short with the arrival of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City in 2016 who brought the German International to the Premier League.
He quickly established himself in the first team of Manchester City pulling the strings from the heart of the midfield. Meanwhile, he has featured in 212 games for the Premier League club in all competitions finding the net 39 times.
