This year’s ICC Women’s World Cup will be the twelfth edition of the tournament. It was originally slated for 6 February to 7 March 2021, but because to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was postponed by one year.
New Zealand qualified as hosts automatically, with the ICC Women’s ODI Rankings determining all other qualification spots. England are the defending champions having won 2017 edition of the tournament.

ICC Women Cricket World Cup 2022 Schedule, Dates, Tickets And Venue
The six venues for the 2022 Women’s World Cup were decided after careful planning by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The final will be held at Hagley Oval, according to the announcement. Eden Park, Seddon Park, Bay Oval, University Oval, and Basin Reserve are the other five venues for the league stage and semi-finals.
The tournament will begin from 4th march with first round of league stage. The league stage will get over on 27th March 2022. Semi-finals of the tournament are reserved on 30th and 31st March.
The grand finale of the tournament will take place on 3rd April 2022. The tickets can be purchased here.
Tournament Format
Eight teams will compete in the Group Stage in a single-league system, with each team facing the other once. The 2017 tournament was the last time this format was used.
Following the end of the league matches, the top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, with the winners playing in the final. As a result, 31 matches will be played during the course of the 29-day competition.

ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup ODI 2022 Prize Money Pool Distribution
The tournament’s champions will get $1.32 million in prize money, which is double the amount handed to the winners of the 2017 event in England.
The total prize pool has also increased by 75%, with the eight teams sharing $3.5 million, up $1.5 million from the previous season. The prize money for the runners-up has increased to $600,000, a $270,000 increase over the 2017 event.
The two losing semi-finalists will each receive $300,000, while the four teams who are eliminated in the group rounds will receive $70,000. Every team that wins a group stage match will receive $25,000 from a total prize pool of $700,000.
