On Friday, the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 schedule was unveiled, highlighting the inaugural match on June 1 and the final on June 29. The ninth edition of this 20-over event will span across three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean. Notably, India will compete against Pakistan in New York on June 9.

There are four groups in the event, with each group comprising five teams. The Super Eight phase will include the top two teams from each group, followed by semi-finals and the final.

2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup schedule, date, venue, draw, & participating teams
In the forthcoming 29-day tournament, ten of the 20 teams involved will commence their initial matches in the United States. As per schedule, sixteen matches will take place in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York. One of the highly anticipated games is the clash between India and Pakistan, set to happen at the newly established Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island on June 9.
The tournament will commence on June 1 with co-hosts USA facing neighbors Canada. On the second day of group play, fellow hosts the West Indies will compete against Papua New Guinea in Guyana. A sum of 41 matches is set to take place across six Caribbean islands, featuring semi-finals in Trinidad and Tobago as well as Guyana. Elsewhere, the championship match will occur in Barbados on June 29.
In Group A, co-hosts USA will be joined by arch-rivals India and Pakistan, Canada, & Ireland. Group B features the last two Men’s T20 World Cup winners, England and Australia, competing against Namibia, Scotland, & Oman. Meanwhile, Group C will feature West Indies alongside New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, & Papua New Guinea. Group D includes South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, & Nepal, facing off against each other.
