The ICC has recently revealed the groups for the T20 World Cup 2021 along with its schedule with India vs Pakistan set to take place in group 2
Team India led by Virat Kohli are grouped together with Pakistan in the same block for the tournament starting from 17 October to 14 November. The BCCI would be hosting the ICC World Cup in Oman and the UAE.

The groups were chosen on the basis of the team rankings since March 2021. The Defending champions, West Indies are clubbed with England, along with South Africa, and Australia in Group 1 in the Super 12.
Group 2 consists of Team India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Afghanistan with two more teams added from the Round-1 qualifiers. A total of 8 countries will compete in the initial stage of the tournament.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have locked their seat to contest in the T20 World Cup 2021. Ireland, the Netherlands and Namibia have headed in Group A with Sri Lanka, while in Group B Oman, PNG and Scotland will take on Bangladesh.

“We are really excited to announce groups for the T20 World Cup 2021 of the ICC Men’s Interim Chief Executive Geoff Allardice.
“Nothing differentiates the two groups because they are both packed with extremely competitive parties in the shortest format of the game,” stated Jay Shah, BCCI secretary.
India vs Pakistan ICC World Cup Matches
In a worldwide competition, India and Pakistan will battle it out once again with each other. Pakistan and India played together in every ICC championship ever since the World T20 in 2014, along with the 2015 World Cup, the 2016 World T20, the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy, and the 2019 World Cup where Team India lost just once.
For the first time in history, the T20 World Cup will take place after five years. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic it was originally planned last year in India but further got postponed and shifted to Oman and UAE.
