Similar to the Zagreb Open, India will feature a rather inexperienced squad with several top wrestlers deciding to miss out.

The Ibrahim Moustafa 2023 wrestling tournament is set to from February 23 to 26 in Alexandria, Egypt. The tournament marks the second ranking series this year following the recently held Zagreb Open.
Players to watch out
Despite Aman Sehrawat, a freestyle wrestler and 57kg men’s bronze medal winner at Zagreb, set to miss the tournament, Greco Roman grappler Ashu, who also clinched India’s only other medal, will feature at the tournament.
Meanwhile some of the other names to watch out at the Ibrahim Moustafa 2023 wrestling tournament are Bhateri, Sagar Jaglan, and Sejeet. Bhateri is a junior world championships silver medallist in women’s 65kg, while Sagar Jaglan is an under-20 worlds bronze medallist in men’s 74kg. Sujeet on the other hand is a wrestler in the men’s 65kg.

Despite the absence of big names, India have named a young contingent with 27 members. Out of the 27, nine are competing in men’s freestyle, while eight are in women’s and 10 are in Greco-Roman.
