Ibrahim Husseini Hamadtou’s arms were lost due to a train accident when he was just 10 years old. During an interview, Ibrahim said that in our village we could only play table tennis and soccer because there was no other facility for us to play something different. This is the only reason why Ibrahim started playing both games.

Also, Ibrahim stated that it was hard to play soccer due to his condition but then he played table tennis as a challenge. He has been honored with an appreciation award also. He won this award in the 6th Edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award in the category of an athlete who received victory in sports despite crucial humanitarian challenges.

He secured second place and won a silver medal in the African Para table tennis Championships held in the year 2013. Ibrahim Hamadtou played for Egypt in the year 2016 at the Summer Paralympic Games of 2020 in Rio de Janeiro and in Tokyo too.

While playing in the category of Class 6-8, he received a Silver medal at the 2013 Egypt Open match in the category of Class 6 and achieved many other awards too.
