On 8 May 2022, a video was uploaded on TikTok and in the video, a girl is singing the lyrics of “I wanna go home”. Since then this video has received more than 2.5 million views.

This clip is from the song “It’s a Holiday”. It is from a Nigerian Music group “Destined Kids” who released this song in 2011. The original 2011 uploaded video of “It’s a Holiday” has been deleted over YouTube. But their video was again uploaded on 25th April 2021 by the channel ‘DESTINED KIDS’. Since then this video has roughly received 34,300 views.

After the upload over TikTok on 8th May by a user ‘esosaadun1’ the meme of this video has received more than 2 millions plays and 42,000 likes.

Over TikTok Many other users are using the sound clip in a same way to the original video to express their feelings of wanting to go back home or leaving somewhere that you’re not happy.

The same was seen by Grace_Africa. They used the sound clip to showcase her meet and greet at Vidcon, where, nobody showed up. This video has also received 32 m views.

Another TikTok user ‘Karlie Rodriguez’ has gone viral after using the clip. She used the sound to showcase that her mom accidentally booked a hotel room which doesn’t exist in reality.

Since going viral, this music video has been used over 118,000 times with almost 10,000 of those who wrote articles while uploading.
