Nate Diaz was far from impressed with the quality of the bout between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley
He might have managed to defeat Tyron Woodley but Jake Paul did little to win over boxing aficionados on Sunday night.
In what was a timid effort by Woodley, the MMA fighter just refused to punch on the night. So meek was the nature of the bout between the two that the crowd had to resort to booing them at the end of the first round, one which saw a scanty six punches being thrown by Woodley.
While he did catch Paul flush with a lethal right hand blow in round 3 and continued to mantain the pressure in round 4 as well, Woodley never really went for the killer. As the showdown stretched into round 8 as Paul endured the longest fight of his career, the YouTuber saw chances of him winning increase.
Nate Diaz Hits Out At The Waning Quality Of Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley
He was ultimately declared the winner by split decision to see him extend his record to 4-0. However, it was a decision many were left livid with as people called out the fight for being rigged.
Adding his name to the ever growing chorus against the bout was UFC’s Nate Diaz who took to Twitter to write how about Woodley and Paul sucked. Ensuing his win, Jake was quick to retort as he hit back at Diaz, writing, “I read this with a lisp.”

Diaz wasn’t the only person Jake bickered with after his win though with him also lashing out at Tommy Fury who challenged him to a fight. It remains to be seen if Jake does finally decide to fight a proper opponent the next time he steps out in the ring.
