The I-League (formerly known as the Hero I-League due to sponsorship connections with Hero MotoCorp) is India’s second-tier men’s professional football league (from 2022–23), know the 2022 champions, prize money and top scorer
There are now 13 clubs competing across the country.
The league was established in 2007 as the successor to the National Football League, with the inaugural season beginning in November of that year. The league was established as India’s first top-tier professional football competition with the goal of expanding the national team’s player pool.

From the 2022-23 season onwards, the I-League 2nd division and the Indian Super League both operate on a promotion and relegation system.
Seven clubs have won the I-League championship since its start. Dempo has the most victories.
I-League Final: Gokulam Kerala 2-1 Mohammedan SC
GKFC is the first club in 15 years to successfully defend the I-League title. At Salt Lake Stadium, the league final took place.
