The competition, which started in November on Mnet and saw 24 contestants fighting for seats as finalists in the N/a female group audition series for I-Land Season 2 has come to an end.

On July 4, 2024, the I-Land 2 winners were announced. The series featured a panel of renowned mentors, including producer Teddy Park, BIGBANG’s Taeyang, VVN, 24, Monika Shin, and Lee Jung-lee. It was hosted by ZEROBASEONE’s Hanbin, with special guest host Jeon Somi for the finale.

The K-pop survival competition, which broke down barriers to realize their childhood dreams, found talent through international auditions held in 13 cities and 10 countries. At the end of this trip, a seven-piece girl group was formed, ready to take the music industry by storm.

I-Land’s sequel initiated plans to produce a new girl group in April 2024, following the creation of ENHYPEN, one of the representative groups of K-pop’s fourth generation, in 2020.

The much-anticipated list of winners and members of the girl group IZNA were revealed in the last episode of I-Land Season 2, which debuted live on Mnet Kpop on July 4, 2024, at 9:30 PM KST, thrilling viewers who were hoping to get a peek of the stars of the future.

I-Land Season 2 selection process

The contenders are split into two groups for this test, and each group is given one of the songs to perform. Bang Jeemin played the lead part in DRIP, followed by Yoon Jiyoon as the lead vocalist, Koko as the lead rapper, Nam Yuju in Part 4, and Kim Gyuri in Part 5.

On the other hand, Jeong Saebi led the group FAKE IT, with Choi Jungeun providing the lead vocals, Ryu Sarang providing the main rap, Fuko taking part in Part 4, and Mai in Part 5. Both teams put on strong performances that highlight their abilities and persuasively argue their claims to be included in the debut group.
