Gandipet Park was opened to the public by minister KT Rama Rao in Hyderabad city on Wednesday. He added one more iconic spot to its list of urban attractions on the banks of Osman Sagar Lake.

The timings to visit Gandipet iconic park is 9.30 am to 5 pm with lake views. The entry ticket is INR 5 for all visitors irrespective of their age and nationality. Lake offers amazing views to visitors and a peaceful time away from hectic schedules.
Gandipet Park Inauguration, Cost, Area
A landmark space, Gandipet Park was inaugurated on October 12th, 2022 by Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao. This iconic park was developed by Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to mark its 100 years of establishment.
The minister took to his official Twitter to share some photos of the new Iconic Park and congratulated the HMDA for their amazing work and appreciated their art. “Happy to inaugurate the Gandipet Eco Park today. Will be a valuable addition to the city’s green landscape. Well done HMDA,” KTR stated.
The iconic park has been developed by the HMDA as part of the Osman Sagar Lake development and beautification effort. It spreads over a wide area of 18 acres and the project cost more than Rs 30 crores.
Along with the greenery of the park, it has an amphitheater with 1200 spectators capacity, a wide entrance plaza which is adorned with 12 welcome arches and a driveway with cobblestone, a flower terrace, picnic zones, art pavilions, gazebos, and a toilet block. The park has also got a food court in it.
According to the HMDA officials, the authorities wanted to make it a “one-stop destination for all the nature lovers, art lovers and cultural events in which they can find all the Beauty at just one stop.” Another 125-acre Eco-Park at Kothwalguda near Himayat Sagar at a cost of Rs 75 crore is also in the pipeline.
