The academy claimed that first responders could not save his life.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark, superintendent of the U.S. Air Force Academy, said,
Hunter was a standout offensive lineman on the Falcon football team and was well-respected in his squadron.
He added,
The entire U.S. Air Force Academy mourns his loss, and our hearts and condolences are with his family, his squadron, and all who were touched by this incredible young man.

Who is Hunter Brown?
Hunter Brown was a football player at the Air Force Academy. He has been in the news because he passed away in a mysterious way.
He was a Lake Charles, Louisiana, native. He did his schooling at Barbe High School in Louisiana. He afterward enrolled at the US Air Force Academy, where he double-majored in management and French. He was assigned to the Cadet Squadron 16.
He played football for the Falcons and was a superb offensive lineman in 2022.
When he died, he was just 21 years old.
How did he die?
Hunter Brown experienced a medical issue while he was leaving his room to go to class, according to the Air Force. When emergency personnel came, they made every effort to save his life but were unable. No particular cause of death has been given yet.
An investigation is being carried out by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
