As the top darts players get ready to compete in the European Tours tournament this week at the BOK Sportcsarnok in Budapest, the field for the 2022 Hungarian Darts Trophy has been revealed. The top 16 darts players in the world will be joined by 32 qualifiers from various tournaments in the 48-player field.

2022 Hungarian Darts Trophy Schedule, Venue, Draw, Format, and Playing Line-up
The 2022 Hungarian Darts Trophy will be the tenth of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour and will take place at the BOK Sportcsarnok, Budapest, Hungary, from 2–4 September 2022. It will feature a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner.
All games until to the quarterfinals will be played in the best-of-11-legs format, which determines the winner based on who accumulates legs first. The semi-final and final distances for the 2018 tournament were extended, according to the Professional Darts Corporation. The final is now contested using a format where the best of 15 legs is used for the semi-final.
The Interwetten German Darts Open (ET11) will be held in the Sparkassen-Arena in Jena from September 9–11, following the Hungarian Darts Trophy (ET10) in Budapest. Tickets can be purchased by the fans from here.

The competition is open to the top 16 dart players on the PDC Pro Tour rankings, who are also seeded for the second round based on their standing. A combination of qualifying tournaments was used to select the 32 additional participants.

Prize Money Pool Distribution of 2022 Hungarian Darts Trophy
Hungarian Darts Trophy 2022 champion will get £25,000, which is more than twice amount given to second-place finisher. The competition also has a net prize fund of £140,000 and each participant will receive a guaranteed purse of £1,000.
