But it is a game. It belongs to the youth as a result. And that will be on show as the world’s Little League baseball fields become a veritable fountain of adolescence.

The Little League World Series offers a brief reprieve from the scourge of materialism that has come to define professional sports. Observing children playing in the meadow unrestrained by the pressures of taxes, breakups, and deductibles, may be inspiring.

Little League World Series competitors are cloaked in the mystique of youth, much like those striving for Eagle Scout status. Little League World Series age rules

Players must be 10 to 12 years old as of August 31 in order to compete in the Little League World Series (and its sibling, the Little League Softball World Series). That wasn’t always the case; in 2018, 13-year-olds participated in the celebrations.

However, the LLWS planning committee announced that it will prohibit teens from partaking in the festivities in 2015. They change the league’s “age determination date” to August 31 and prohibit 13-year-olds from attending the outing.
