A test performed on Monday, November 20, morning on Gavi, a player for the first team, revealed that he had suffered a full tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, along with a lateral meniscus lesion, a report stated by FC Barcelona. 

During Spain’s final European Championship qualifying group matchup against Georgia, Gavi sustained an injury while playing for his country.

In addition, 19-year-old Gavi sustained a lateral meniscus damage and the midfielder will undergo surgery this week. According to the Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, FIFA is required to pay any team whose players are sidelined for longer than 28 days as a result of injuries sustained during the international break.

The team is “very worried” about Gavi, who appears to be in for a lengthy stay out, according to team doctor Oscar Luis Celada, who spoke to Spanish network RTVE. Here is how much FC Barcelona will get for Gavi.
