The French company revealed the information on May 10. During their new handbag ad, the company revealed the 36-year-old Bollywood actress’s part. According to the promo, actress Padukone joined Zhou Dongyu and actors Emma Stone for promotional photos.
Padukone frequently appears with Louis Vuitton clothing and accessories, and she has modelled for the brand in the past. When she appeared on a fake book cover among celebrities like Lea Seydoux and Sophie Turner in 2020, she became the first Indian actor to appear in the brand’s advertising campaign. The award-winning actress begins an exciting new phase of her journey with Louis Vuitton following a solid working connection with the Maison, according to the French luxury brand’s press statement.
The actress has come a long way.
In her professional career, Padukone has appeared in more than 30 movies, including one of the highest-grossing Indian films, “Padmavaat.” Along with this, Padukone was just revealed as one of the nine jurors for the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Padukone made about $6 million in 2019, according to Forbes India’s celebrity 100 lists.
The actress most recently appeared in commercials for companies like Levi’s and Adidas, and her association with Louis Vuitton is her first ambassadorial position with the company. She had just been named the latest cover page star of Vogue India when the news was made. The actress was shown wearing multiple Louis Vuitton pieces in the same picture session, which appeared in the May 2022 issue.
While LV hasn’t revealed how much she’s actually paid for the campaign, Deepika currently charges Rs.3 crore per endorsement in 2022 and its likely she was paid same by the French company.
Traditional ambitions for the luxury business have not included India. However, the 2019 version of the prominent annual study from McKinsey & Company and Business of Fashion stated that India became “too crucial for the worldwide brands to ignore” due to the expanding middle class and brand influence.
