LeBron James failed to win a single vote in the poll conducted for the best NBA player ahead of the new season, a decision Skip Bayless agrees with
Although he’s reaching the tailend of his career, 36 year old LeBron James continues to remain one of the biggest names in the land of the showpiece league. A heavyweight, the Los Angeles Lakers man’s legacy in NBA is without a doubt unparoled.
Although the Lakers failed to defend their title last term, James was at his pristine best in the season. He was pivotal for the side in attack with his crossovers, handles and points in the paint seeing him form a deadly partnership alongside Anthony Davis.
However, the recent poll conducted for the NBA’s best player ahead of the 2021-22 failed to do James’ any favour. The player ended up bereft of any vote with the scouts and executives handing out five votes to Kevin Durant and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
LeBron James Far From Impressed After Receiving 0 Votes For The Best NBA Player
While there’s no denying that the two are rightfully amongst the best in the league at the moment with Giannis winning the glistening NBA title last term and KD walking away with the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics, LeBron was deserving of atleast the one vote. And the Lakers player has been irked by the lack of appreciation for him with him taking to social media to display his ire.
Questioning the ESPN survey, LeBron James wrote #SUPERWASHED on the tweets talking about the results of the poll. He also went onto thank the people who had partaken in the poll as he talked about how he needed nothing else to fuel him.

While LeBron might be livid over the move, Skip Bayless believes its prudent that he received 0 votes after failing to save the Lakers ensuing Anthony Davis’ injury.
How can you be surprised that LeBron got 0 votes for best player? His 3-pt and free throw shooting was horrendously bad. He fell apart down the stretch, he fell apart against Phoenix. When he lost AD in the playoffs, LeBron wasn’t able to save the day.pic.twitter.com/nynxpuAER1
