BBC Children In Need
BBC’s Children In Need is an annual telethon, which is dedicated to raising funds for the Children In Need charity. The Children In Need is a charity that funds thousands of charities and projects nationwide.
The main aim of the charity is to give every child the childhood and support a child deserves and needs.
The charity organizes several bake sales, marathons, and sponsored bike rides to raise funds. The charity’s official mascot, Pudsey the bear introduced in 1975 has become a cultural icon in itself. The bear’s friendly cuddle face can be found on every merchandise possible.
Where To Buy Pudsey Bear’s Official 2022 T-Shirt And Merchandise
Donors who wish to purchase Pudsey’s official merchandise online can do so on the official Children In Need website. They can also purchase it through their exclusive partner stores ASDA, Greggs, F Hinds, and One Stop.
ASDA
Donors can purchase the official Children In Need 2022 unisex T-shirt in ASDA in the signature yellow. The T-shirt’s kids version comes in both yellow and black. This year, the T-shirt features a bright star and spot design graphic, along with a Pudsey arrow slogan.
The T-shirts are priced at £9 each, and a minimum 57% of the cost will go towards charity. However, as of now, the T-shirt is already out of stock and donors will have to purchase it online on the charity website. Adults can also choose between the black and yellow editions online.
Donors can also find other Children In Need merchandises from ASDA, like socks, onesies, pyjama sets, and hoodies.
GREGGS
Greggs, Britain’s all-time favourite bakery is collaborating with Children In Need this year to offer limited edition sweet goodies. The popular food company released a host of new food items like the caramel-flavoured Pudsey Biscuit; a gingerbread biscuit of Pudsey’s BFF, Blush; and two vanilla buns of the bear duo.
F. Hinds
Donors who wish to purchase accessories can go to F Hinds and purchase Pudsey trinket boxes, a money box, and an alarm clock.
ONE STOP
One Stop one of the largest convenience stores offers the biggest variety of Pudsey goods. The products range from water bottles (£3.50) to the classic Pudsey ear headband (£2.50). The Pudsey ear headband even has a Strictly Come Dancing edition, featuring a sparkly foil leopard print (£3).
BBC Children In Need 2022 Schedule
The BBC Children In Need will take place at dock10, MediaCityUK, Salford. The live fundraising programme is scheduled to kick off at 7pm on Friday.
During the programme, Alex Scott, Chris Ramsey, Ade Adepitan, Mel Giedroyc and Jason Manford will present Appeal Night. Appeal Night will focus on the Positive Relationships campaign.
Besides them, the event will also feature tons of performances, sketches, and games. Bradley Walsh will also host a children’s takeover of comedy game show Blankety Blank. The game show will feature Maisie Smith and John Waite.
Graham Norton’s infamous red chair is also set to make an appearance along with comedian Romesh Ranganathan’s The Weakest Link. Diversity and Lewis Capaldi will also perform at the live event.
