“Hope You Are Watching Everything Sai Baba,” Prithvi Shaw Takes To Instagram After Not Being Selected For IND vs NZ T20 Series 2022

Prithvi Shaw posts on his Instagram after being dropped from India’s squad for upcoming tours of New Zealand and Bangladesh

On Monday, the BCCI announced the squad for India’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh and New Zealand. The BCCI has named four different squads for the tour of New Zealand, which will take place from November 18 to November 30, 2022, followed by the tour of Bangladesh, which will take place from December 4 to December 26, 2022.

Senior players such as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and KL Rahul will be rested for New Zealand’s tour. The absence of former u-19 World Cup captain Prithvi Shaw from the squad appeared to have hurt the youngster’s intentions, as he posted a cryptic Instagram story with the caption “Hope you are watching everything Sai Baba” with folded hands emoji.

In the absence of the senior Indian players, who will be seen returning for the ODIs and Tests in Bangladesh once again, players like Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, and Sanju Samson will get the opportunity to make an impression once more.

In Bangladesh, KL Rahul will serve as vice-captain and Rohit Sharma will handle his regular captaincy responsibilities. Rajat Patidar and Rahul Tripathi were given a spot in the squad for the Bangladesh ODIs as a result of their outstanding batting displays during the white-ball series between India A and New Zealand A. Jasprit Bumrah, who was forced to withdraw from the T20 World Cup due to a back issue, has once again been rested from these trips to give him more time to recover.
