2022 Hong Kong Masters is an invitation-only snooker competition that will take place from October 6 to October 9 at the Hong Kong Coliseum in Hung Hom. Hong Kong Billiard Sports Control Council, a sub vendor of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, and World Snooker Tour will oversee the event’s organization and sanctioning.

2022 Hong Kong Masters Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And List of Players
For the first time in five years, the Hong Kong Masters will take place this week as Ronnie O’Sullivan gets ready to play three-time women’s world champion and local legend Ng On Yee in his opening match. This prestigious tournament, which hasn’t been conducted since 2017, will feature eight players vying for the £100,000 first prize over the course of four days at the Hong Kong Coliseum venue starting on Thursday, October 6. The Asian city will be hosting it’s first significant non-ranking event since the pandemic in 2020 thanks to efforts by Hong Kong Billiard Sports Control Council.
If O’Sullivan advances to semi-final, he will play either UK champion Zhao Xintong or current Masters champion Neil Robertson on Saturday, October 8. On Thursday, October 6, the opening match of the competition pits four-time world champion Mark Selby against past Scottish Open victor Marco Fu. Judd Trump and John Higgins, the 2019 world finalists, will face off in the other quarterfinal.
On October 6 and 7, the quarterfinals will be best of nine frames, while on October 8 and 9, the semifinals and final will be best of eleven frames. A thrilling exhibition game including renowned international players and top-tier domestic athletes is also anticipated.
