Sharad Malhotra, whose series ‘Honey Trap Squad’ premiered on Thursday, described an event in which he dressed as a eunuch and stood at a real traffic signal while filming, allowing him to experience and express his character with precision.
For the first time, the actor played 4 separate characters in the show, including a dabbawala, a Sardar, and a eunuch.

“Stepping out of my comfort zone was both challenging and exciting,” the actor said of his experience playing the characters. He further said that “I was given the opportunity to play unusual characters, which necessitated substantial research into their body language, voice modulation, and distinct perspectives. I absorbed myself in each character, whether I was playing a eunuch or a Sardar, learning even the smallest aspects of their essence.”
Furthermore he recalled the aforesaid incident and added that, “One incident during the shooting, where we filmed at a real traffic signal, allowed me to truly feel like the eunuch character, making the experience even more significant. Drawing from my observant nature in real life, incorporating the traits of various roles became easier, and I enjoyed the extensive preparation for each character.”
For those unversed, Malhotra’s series Honey Trap Squad also features personalities like Akanksha Puri, Karanvir Bohra and Manu Punjabi in pivotal roles. It is available to binge online on the streaming platform Alt Balaji since it’s premiere on Wednesday, July 20, 2023.
In an another update, earlier in a interview, the younger brother of actress Aparna Dixit, Agam Dixit came forward and talked about his experience with the series. For those not aware, the young actor will make his web debut with the new series Honey Trap Squad.
The web series is being produced by Santosh Gupta and Agam plays the main villain’s younger brother, who is a major mafia figure in Dubai.
During the interview, Agam said that “I play the role of Junaid in the series. He has finished his studies in London and has just returned home to his brother.”
