Indore Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

Based on the pitch report, the Indore Cricket stadium seems to favor bowling first, particularly spinners. This is especially due to its dimension measuring 68 meters at straight and comparatively low 56 m in square boundaries. It is one of the smallest grounds in the world. However, things can change in test cricket, as the red-ball has much more movement than the white one.

The last test match held at this venue featured a match-winning knock of 243 runs by Mayank Agarwal. He recorded a very impressive strike rate of 75 against Bangladesh. The visitors failed to take advantage of the pitch while batting on the first day. The Indian bowlers bundled them out for just 150 runs, as the game saw a terrific bowling performance.

The Indian batters however, grabbed the opportunity on the next outing and took the lead with 343 runs. The Bangla tigers as a result lost the match by a huge margin of on inning and 130 runs.

The upcoming third match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy is very crucial, as it will decide the chances of playing at the WTC (world test championship) final. India currently have good quality in terms of spin bowling and they are expected to win the match as the Aussies are usually not very keen of playing on spinning tracks.
