What exactly happened so far?
The previous chapter starts with Cesare making his move on Adel. Just when the readers thought things were about to turn spicier, Adel heard a voice, “Kill him.”
Because of this, she quickly pushes Cesare away. Cesare was kind of upset and talked about whether this was Esdra, Adel would have kissed him.

At this point, Adel was sure that she wouldn’t be able to convince him, so she said, “Yes.” After that, we see Cesare sleeping alone and thinking about Adel.
Even the next morning, his thoughts were all about Adel, even when he was trying to work out. While taking the bath, he admitted that he had started to lust over this shoeshiner girl and he needed to fix this.
In his study room, we see Cesare reading the letter from House Ginoble because of his recent action that he took with his knights.
He called Adel because he wanted to talk to her. Cesare let her know that Esdra has already sent the official proposal for the marriage.
Towards the end of the chapter, we see Cesare showing the documents and drawing of a mansion, and asking Adel whether she will sleep with him if he offers these things to her.
