In the previous chapter, just like me, many readers couldn’t believe that Cesare was actually going to the character development.
The way he talked about the poor people and the rest of them of despicable. To him, everyone is beneath him, even the high society nobles.
Adel really had a good laugh about this, considering that the arrogant and high-mighty Cesare considers everyone beneath him. Everyone is an idiot for him.
He also talked about human nature and wanted to punish Adel for having some bad thoughts about him. Cesare was about to flick his fingers on her forehead.
Instead, he started to comb her hair and then started to lean forward. Right then, Esdra arrived and started to put the blame that Cesare was about to kiss Adel.
Adel quickly denied this and responded angrily to not slander her. According to her, Cesare was just trying to get the eyelashes off her cheek.
They are brother and sister and they don’t have any feelings towards each other. Esdra didn’t believe them and wanted them to prove themselves.
He removed a token and immediately proposed Adel for marriage. It would be interesting to see how both Adel and Cesare are going to react in the upcoming chapter.
