The previous chapter starts with Adel telling to Lady Lucrezia that instead of keeping her check, she should try to win the heart of her brother. Her disappearance won’t bring them both closer.
Cesare and his knight were loving and enjoying the conversation between the ladies from the balcony. Lady Lucrezia replies that even Cesare dosen’t love him, Adel was trying to be spiteful. Adel says that there is no point in hating her, if her brother wants her to stay, showing her fangs on Adel will be worthless.
After that, Lady Lucrezia went back home with her Anese. She was talking about how Adel would help her to meet with Cesare more often. If they decide to expose her identity in the high society, Cesare might decide to abandon her.
So for that, they should keep her identity hidden as much as possible from everyone. Also, Anese talked about the marriage between Adel and Lord Ezra. But Adel dosen’t care about his brother’s problem and Adel’s outer appearance is truly noble, so it won’t matter. At the end of the chapter, we were shown Cesare and Adel writing letters to each other.
