The light romantic comedy manga by Shimesaba and Booota from which the Japanese anime is adapted was published in Japan. The anime depicts a romance between office worker Yoshida and runaway high school student Sayu. Yoshida musters up the guts to reveal his feelings to his coworker Airi Gatou at the beginning of the novel, but she rejects him. Devastated, the young man starts drinking with his pals to drown his sorrows.
He runs across a high school girl on the way home who requests to stay the night with him. He doesn’t protest because he is drunk and allowed her to stay. He questions Sayu about how she ended up at his house in the morning. Sayu then reveals to him that she fled her home. She has been doing this ever since in order to get a place to sleep. Yoshida offers her a place to stay since he feels horrible for her.
Availability Of The Series
Crunchyroll offers the series for streaming, and MuseAsia holds the North American and Asian distribution rights. The series aired from 5 April to 28 June.
Will There Be A Season 2?
As of yet, the anime series has not been renewed for a second season. Unfortunately, HigeHiro wasn’t one of the anime that was renewed for a second season while it was airing around the same time. The majority of the light novel’s substance was previously covered in the first season, which is the main worry for the show. Thus, the tale would need to be expanded if the second season were to be made available.
The anime series author tweeted regarding the second season, “Please wait for more information as I will be writing about those “different topics” as a spin-off work.” “I’m very happy that Mishima and Gotou’s journey may finally come to an end!”

The series creator revealed a brand-new light novel titled “HigeHiro: Another Side Story”, on June 1st, 2021. When Yoshida eventually runs into an adult Sayu, the plot will pick up some years later. The protagonists of the book will be Yuzuha Mishima and Airi Gotou.
