This year’s edition is the 56th edition of the tournament ever since its inception in 1964. It is also the sixth edition under the European Tour, now known as the DP World Tour.

The Indian Open 2023 golf tournament will take place at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram. The event will go on from February 23 to 26.

The Indian Open 2023 golf tournament return will feature a large contingent of Indian players in action. SSP Chawrasia, who is a two-time champion of the tournament after winning the 2016 and 2017 titles. He is also the last Indian to win the tournament, and he will lead the Indian contingent at the European Tour event.
Chawrasia is also a four-time winner on the European Tour. Besides him, Shubhankar Sharma is also another big Indian name in action. Sharma is a two-time European Tour winner, and he will be eyeing his third title on the Tour. He previously won the 2017 Joburg Open and 2018 Maybank Championship.
Rookie Manu Gandas has also garnered a lot of attention after earning a European Tour card for this season. He earned it after topping last year’s PGTI Rankings. The 26-year-old was in splendid form last year as he won a record six titles in the 2022 PGTI season.

Sadly, Anirban Lahiri, winner of the 2015 Indian Open title, will not be able to play this year.
Meanwhile, among the players from other nations, Scotland’s Stephen Gallacher will make a return as the defending champion. He won the last edition held in 2019. Fellow Scotsman Robert MacIntyre, who is a two-time winner on the European Tour will also take part. Danish duo Nicolai Hojgaard and Thorbjorn Olesen will also take part in the tournament. Hojgaard is a two-time winner, while Olesen has seven European Tour titles to his name.
