Helen Slayton-Hughes, an actress, has died at age 92, know her cause of death and net worth
She had been in movies and on TV for a long time, but Parks and Recreation made her famous as the sassy and smart government worker Ethel Beavers.
Deadline says that Slayton-family Hughes’s posted this on their Facebook page to let people know that she had died: “Last night, Helen passed away. Her pain is over, but her strong will to live on. Thank you for caring about her and supporting her work. Rest sweet one.”

Helen Slayton-Hughes Started Her Career In San Francisco
Her first movie role was in the 1980 mob comedy Mafia on the Bounty, which starred Jackie Mason and Joe E. Ross. But after a few small roles in the 1980s, like the divorce drama Shoot the Moon with Albert Finney and Diane Keaton, she didn’t show up on screen again for nearly 20 years.
In 2000, Helen Slayton-Hughes was asked to be a guest star on the Don Johnson cop show Nash Bridges. At the age of 70, she became a full-time actor, which was a big change for her.
She had memorable guest roles on a number of TV shows, including The Drew Carey Show, Judging Amy, Arrested Development, New Girl, two different Power Rangers shows, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and True Blood.
She also acted in a number of movies, such as The Onion Movie, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese with, Hesher, and Good Night and Good Luck. In 2011, she was cast as Ethel Beavers, a stenographer for the city of Pawnee, Indiana, on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. This role would become her most well-known.
Helen Slayton-Hughes was a happily married woman, who had 4 children and 6 grandchildren but her husband’s name is not known. While the cause of death of the 92 isn’t known, she is said to have died owing to age related ailments with her net worth at $2 million.

She first showed up in the third season, and her sly sense of humour made her a favourite among the show’s many eccentrics. Helen Slayton-Hughes went on to appear in eleven episodes. Also she has been a guest star on Fresh Off the Boat and Rutherford Falls. And has been in He’s All That and The Curse of Bridge Hollow in the past few years.
In several episodes of the long-running sitcom, beavers were important. Helen Slayton-Hughes was the official witness at the weddings of Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) and Diane Lewis (Lucy Lawless). She also helped run Leslie’s trial for ethics violations.
Helen Slayton-Hughes became the grandmother of Chris Pratt’s Andy Dwyer and Aubrey Plaza’s April Ludgate, which she didn’t care much about. And she went to Leslie’s annual “Galentine’s Day” celebrations. In the last season of the show, she shocked everyone by saying at Pawnee mayor Walter Gunderson’s (Bill Murray) funeral that she had been his lover for a long time.
