“He pulled the white boy excuse card,” Shotgun Willies dancer reveals how Ja Morant reacted after pulling out his gun in strip club

Ja Morant, a player for the Memphis Grizzlies, made headlines earlier this year when he showed a gun while live streaming from strip club Shotgun Willies in Glendale, Colorado

The event has come up again, and the New York Post has written a long article about what happened that night.

According to the article, Ja Morant and his group went to a popular strip club in Glendale called Shotgun Willies. Morant was seen tipping the strippers $50,000 and taking pictures with them. Things got worse, though, when he went live on Instagram and pulled out a gun.

Strippers there that night told the New York Post that when Morant pulled out his gun, they were “absolutely terrified.” One of the strippers even said that Ja Morant was trying to “pull the white boy excuse card” to explain what he had done.

The gun, however, โ€œabsolutely terrifiedโ€ Shotgun girls in the backroom, claimed a dancer who wasnโ€™t in the VIP room but heard complaints from her coworkers.

โ€œHe pulled the white boy excuse card: โ€˜Iโ€™m just going through a lot right now, so Iโ€™m going to act [like] a fool and put other peopleโ€™s lives at risk,โ€™โ€ she said.

NBA starts investigation on Ja Morant

The NBA and the Memphis Grizzlies were both aware of what happened. Ja Morant was taken off the team for at least six games while the Grizzlies did an internal investigation. The NBA also said in a statement that they were looking into the matter.

They continued that this kind of behaviour was not okay. Fans and other players have both criticised what Ja Morant did. Many people are asking why he felt the need to bring a gun into a strip club. And why he would risk his career and reputation in such a way.

Ja Morant not the first one in such scenario

It’s not the first time a famous athlete has gotten into trouble like this. Gilbert Arenas, an NBA star, was suspended in 2007 for pulling out a gun in the locker room. Plaxico Burress, an NFL player, went to prison after shooting himself by accident in a nightclub.ย The thing that happened at Shotgun Willies is a good reminder that athletes make mistakes.

But it also shows how important it is for them to be responsible and make better decisions, especially in public.ย Morant has since apologised for what he did, saying he knows how serious the situation was and how it affected everyone involved. We still don’t know if his apology is enough to fix the damage he caused.
