Kieran Tierney Wants Conor McGregor To Play Centreback For Arsenal
During a Q&A on Twiiter with Kieran Tierney, one user Shane Brewster @ Irn-Brew posed him the following question. “If your mate Conor McGregor was to play for Arsenal, what position would you play him?” Tierney provided a brilliant response and said, “Centre half. No nonsense. Put the fear in everyone. Seen him upfront as well, great goal scorer. Can do it all.”

Tierney had recently signed a new long-term contract with the Premier League Club Arsenal after an impressive season which saw him own the role of left-back. The Scot became an undroppable for The Gunners and gained a new contract until 2026 with improved terms. He has been one of Arsenal’s best performers ever since he joined the club for around £23million from Celtic in 2019. He stated that the club’s vision, its expectations and where it wants to go are reasons which made him sign the contract.
Interestingly, he’s a friend of The Notorious, courtesy of their ties with The Celtic. Though McGregor is a lifelong fan of Manchester United, he does pay some allegiance to the Celtic. Once in the past, he was even spotted wearing a Bhoys shirt with Tierney on the back.
The two have thus formed a bond and stayed in contact since the full-back’s move to Arsenal, around two years ago. With The Notorious, literally ‘notorious’ for dipping his toe into other sports, Kieran’s response may just have sowed a seed for a football switch in his head.
