Harvinder is these days balancing both his studies and sports. Singh found it quite hard as well to manage both sports and studies at the same time but he always had a zeal to learn new things. The scorching heat during his practice sessions was also very difficult for him as the air conditioning inside his college would make him encounter muscle pains too.
He used to sit in the non-air-conditioned room of the class to balance the temperature difference and avoid the muscle pain and spasms in his legs.

Harvinder Singh achieved his one of the first-ever medal in archery event for India in the Asian Paralympic Games. Singh received a gold medal at the event by defeating Chinese player Zhao Lixue by 6-0 in the category of the W2/ST at the final to claim the top honors.
