The Manchester United forward is still under suspension from his team, and an internal inquiry is ongoing following the dismissal of the accusations against him in February as his partner Harriet Robson gets pregnant
As of now, Greenwood is still suspended.
The club has suspended the one-cap England international, who was detained in early 2022 on rape and assault suspicions. He was then detained again on allegations of uttering murderous threats and assault. In February 2023, the allegations against the athlete were withdrawn, and a statement on his behalf stated that he was relieved that this situation is now finished.
Harriet Robson partner of Mason Greenwood is pregnant now as both are back living together
The tables have turned!
The suspended footballer, 21, recently discovered his partner, Harriet Robson, is pregnant after allegations of attempted r*pe and assault against him were dropped. The Manchester United forward will soon become a father for the first time.
The 21-year-old and his family are aware of Greenwood’s partner’s current pregnancy and are getting ready for the arrival of the player’s first child. Although still under contract with the club, the forward is currently suspended by United pending an internal investigation and is not anticipated to play again for the first team this season.
When the charges were withdrawn, a representative for Crown Prosecution Services stated that they have a duty to keep matters under ongoing review. Key witnesses had left the case, new evidence had come to light, and there was no longer a realistic likelihood of conviction. Under those conditions, the case has been halted as of now. However, any prospective victims are always welcome to come forward and contact the police and can file charges wherever the legal requirements are met.
Greenwood is yet to make his return.
The Daily Star reports that it might take some time for United to complete its internal investigation. As a result, Greenwood is unlikely to play before the 2022–23 season is through. Prior to the charges being dismissed, Greenwood was scheduled to go on trial in November 2023; now, this will no longer be the case. These included two assault charges and one attempted rape charge.
In a Premier League encounter against West Ham United in January 2022, Greenwood made his final appearance for Manchester United. His club has stated that at this time, “no further remark” would be made.
