He has been sent back to India on an IAF flight.
The flight in which Indian student Harjot Singh came back landed at the Hindon airbase on Monday evening. The Minister of State for the Civil Aviation V K Singh and around 200 Indians mainly international students have also returned to India on the same flight. V K Singh was present in Poland to facilitate the evacuation of international students.

The 31-year-old, Harjot Singh was shot four times on the 27th of February, 2022. One of the bullets even hit his chest. He had boarded a cab for the western Ukrainian city of Lviv to escape from the capital Kyiv. Two of his friends were also with Harjot Singh.
The Ukrainian airspace has been shut since 24th February due to the Russian military attack. The Indian citizens stuck in Ukraine are being airlifted once they are able to cross the borders touching the neighboring countries such as Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland.
Harjot Singh’s family in Delhi have stated that they were “very, very happy” that Harjot Singh was returning back and was eagerly awaiting his arrival. The Ministry of External Affairs on Friday had declared that the government of India would bear the medical expenses of international student Singh.
An Indian Air Force flight is carrying Indian international student Harjot Singh, who was shot in the country Ukrainian in the capital Kyiv a few days ago. After returning back to India, he was immediately shifted to an army hospital where he was treated. He returned back under the mission Ganga of the Indian government.
Before boarding the flight, Harjot was provided with an ambulance by the Polish Red Cross. He crossed the Ukrainian border in the presence of numerous Indian diplomats. According to the Indian government officials, he was his 3 other friends in the cab when he was shot. Apart from Harjot other students are also being evacuated from Ukraine and its neighboring countries.
