Hardik Pandya who didn’t have any invoice for the two watches worth Rs.5 crore also failed to declare them as custom items
Had Hardik Pandya spent half as much time on bettering his skills as a cricket player than the times he indulges in antics away from the field, India might have had a much better all-rounder at their disposal.
Apart from the one good season in world cricket, Pandya has little else to write home about. However, for some perplexing reason, the cricketer continues to be considered a treasured commodity by the BCCI and Indian team management with a half fit Pandya being taken to UAE from the world cup as well.
Despite being in abysmal form and failing to bowl in India’s opening couple of defeats, Pandya continued to be persisted with by Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri in the T20 World Cup 2021. A change of leadership though immediately realised that it was high time Pandya was dropped with the combination of Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma lead Team India for the upcoming T20 series against New Zealand seeing Pandya dropped from Team India.
Hardik Pandya Has Watches Worth Rs.5 Crore Detained By Custom Officials
However, the cricketer seems least perturbed at being ousted from the Indian modus operandi. Currently in the limelight after Dawood Ibrahim’s aid, Riyaz Bhati’s wife accused him, Rajeev Shukla and Munaf Patel of raping her, Pandya finds himself embroiled in a fresh controversy.
It has come to light that Pandya had two watches belonging to him worth Rs.5 crore detained by custom officials upon his return to India from UAE. Pandya did not have invoice for the luxury watches and neither did he declare them as custom items at the airport ensuing which the officials cracked down on him.
