While there has been no official update on Gylfi Sigurdsson owing to legal reasons, an unnamed Everton player was granted bail for the third time recently in his latest news
Ever since he was arrested back in July of 2021, Everton have maintained a stoic silence over Gylfi Sigurdsson with the player vanishing off the face of the Earth.
While reports state that the club is looking to offload him once his contract ends at the culmination of the ongoing season, there has been no other information by the club on what is going on with the player. However, a fresh update has now come in, one which alludes towards what is happening with the player from Iceland.

Greater Manchester Police recently confirmed that an unnamed Everton player who is married had his bail extended, for a third time, to Wednesday next week. While the player can’t be named due to legal reasons, there is only one Everton player who is currently facing hurdles with the law after his house was raided last year in a child sex offences case.
Sigurdsson’s wife had subsequently gone onto delete all her social media accounts with the player not seen in public either since he was picked up by the police. Reports claim he is currently living in a safehouse in the UK has he continues to evade jail for the time being with investigations ongoing.
The last year has seen a string of Premier League players arrested on charges of sexual crimes. Benjamin Mendy was recently given bail as well after a seventh rape count was placed against him.
