ArenaNet has confirmed the release date for Guild Wars 2 Steam along with Twitch drops to celebrate the new release, know the date, time and download
It is a very exciting day for gamers, as they have been eagerly waiting a decade for this new release to happen.
Guild Wars 2 Steam Release Date And Time, Twitch Drops, Rewards And Download Size
Since 2012, Guild Wars 2 has been an iconic MMORPG game. While many fans of the genre may be familiar with it, there are still plenty of people waiting for its arrival on the Valve platform.
Gamers have placed Guild Wars 2 on Wishlists alongside games like Marvelโs Midnight Suns and Gotham Knights. This means that full servers on Steam are almost guaranteed when the game makes its debut.
Guild Wars 2 Steam Release Date
ArenaNet have set the release date and time for Guild Wars 2 Steam for Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT/8pm BST.
ArenaNet confirmed the news as part of the gameโs tenth-anniversary celebrations, which are set to be held across all platforms later this month. Storage: 50 GB available space, requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
Guild Wars 2 stated in a message:
Steam players will be able to experience the core Guild Wars 2 game for free (with the same restrictions applied to free accounts created on GuildWars2.com), with options to upgrade to Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire, and Guild Wars 2: End of Dragons from day one.
Guild Wars 2 Only Available on Steam
As of now, ArenaNet has stated that they are currently working on a Complete Collection Bundle for the game. However, the bundle wonโt be available to players outside of Steam straight away.
Instead, they will be adding it to the Guild Wars 2 web store and the in-game store for players with accounts created via GuildWars2.com soon.
Guild Wars 2 Twitch Drops
Guild Wars 2 will be celebrating its tenth anniversary with a new launch on Steam. Besides this, it is also celebrating the event by offering Twitch Drops. The Twitch Drops are scheduled to begin along with the stream release, i.e., Tuesday, August 23.
The event will run until August 28, and gamers need to link their Twitch and Guild Wars 2 accounts to watch Drops Enabled streams to earn rewards.
The Twitch Drop rewards bundle will include the following items: Transmutation Charges, boosters, a mini, a Glowing Purple Mask, and a choice of classic Guild Wars 2 character outfits.
