Grigor Dimitrov and Marcos Giron will face off in the 2022 Erste Bank Open quarterfinal on Friday.
After overcoming Thiago Monteiro in the opening round, Dimitrov was up against World No. 8 Andrey Rublev in the second round. Three straight service breaks occurred early in the opening set, and eventually the Bulgarian gained the upper hand to lead 3-1. He is currently in his first quarterfinal since April at Monte Carlo, which is his fifth quarterfinal overall.
